Heart Foundation

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The NZ Heart Foundation and Ripe Deli project is a collaboration with the intention of transforming an underutilised parking area into a vibrant garden and café space.

The implementation involved a comprehensive site preparation and installation of hardscape elements, with minimal disruption to the existing businesses.

The theme of ‘edible garden’ and the diversity of planting is a real standout in an area surrounded by commercial businesses, the ‘concrete jungle’.

Key construction elements included the excavation, site preparation and removal of hard surfaces, glasshouse installation, custom bike racks, irrigation and lighting.

Timber sleeper inserts act as a ‘boardwalk’ and connecting pathway and patio areas feature limestone gravel.

Careful soil preparation was undertaken to ensure plant health. Feature rocks were added and a multi-layered planting scheme implemented.

Feature were absolutely amazing to work with. From the concept phase, choosing plants etc, through to the implementation and the finished garden, everything was done in collaboration and I was very impressed with their knowledge and professionalism. I would whole-heartedly recommend Feature.
